The Prowess of Mars

Without an iota of involvement, directly or indirectly or even remotely, one cannot even lift a straw on this planet earth! Mars as we all know is a planet closest to earth. With reference to human body Mars is supposed to depict the complete neurological system apart from blood etc. The entire body is completely wired and integrated. In our routine life every moment whether we are awake or asleep, Mars is ever active unlike other planets which could be dormant, contextually.

In mundane Astrology, to visualize the contribution of Mars is perhaps beyond our imagination. The speed of delivery of effects of Mars is truly the speed of light.
Mars right now transiting in Libra moved to the 9th amsa on the morning of February 13. The political scenario in India was already sufficiently explosive from so many points of view and the moment Mars moved to 9th amsa, one could easily see an escalation of disturbances of sorts in addition to new dimensions of the old issues as well.
Mars will move to Scorpio the 8th sign of the Zodiac and join Saturn on February 20, 2016 at 1632 hrs IST. Although there is no dearth for Internet space, unfortunately, the overall situation is such that we cannot write in detail as to what are impact of the conjunction of Saturn and Mars in Scorpio. However, the following Astrological points can be mentioned while taking a call on the said conjunction read with the current transits of other planets as well:

• Scorpio the 8th sign of the Zodiac and the negative sign of Mars.
• Saturn depicting democracy and owning the 10th (negative sign) and 11th sign of the Zodiac is transiting in Scorpio and aspecting its own negative sign wherein Mercury and Venus the Ascendant lord of India and Mercury.
• Capricorn is a ‘Badhaka sign’ for Indian Independence chart.
• Saturn and Mars both aspect the Ascendant sign.
• Saturn also aspects retrograde Jupiter and Rahu in Leo, the 4th sign of India wherein Jupiter, the 8th and 11th lord of India. Transit Rahu in Leo being aspected by Saturn conjunct Mars, is practically in full control of all other planets which are aspecting it and thus it will fully use up the potential of each one of the planets.
• Rahu is the first planet in the chart at the lowest degree before the Ascendant.
• Mars once it joins Saturn on February 20 will aspect natal Mars with the 8th aspect while the 4th aspect will be on transit Sun in Aquarius which is aspected by retrograde Jupiter and Rahu.
• Rahu will hold the key to the planetary kingdom to introspect and move forward to deliver justice. Jupiter too being retrograde is another great point which should help delivery of justice.
• Saturn gets retrograde in Scorpio on March 25 while it will be in the 7th amsa while Mars while in 5th amsa gets retro and Jupiter got retro on January 8 when it was in 9th amsa of Leo. These points has a lot of meaning indicating a new direction to Saturn (democracy) in relation to its previous sojourn in Libra during the 2014 general election which was then supported by Rahu, quite adversely, since it had 6/8 relationship with natal Rahu.

Considering several other aspects not cited in this snap shot of analysis, if it can be called so, I find that the terminal houses viz., 4, 8 and 12 will get stronger and would give a new direction. It has to be noted with very keen interest that by April 17, 2016, all the outer planets viz., Mars, Saturn and Jupiter will be retrograde which means that the political establishment will be compelled to revamp several functions and I wonder whether there will be a new light in the political scenario. Jupiter gets direct on May 9, 2016 and by which time Jupiter (judiciary) may call the shots.

Under all conditions, Mars transit on February 20 will surely lead to a situation of a lot of unrest and may go to a point of ‘no return’.

Why is Rahu ever retrograde? Spiritual perspectives!

Oh, Rahu! Astrologers are waiting to unleash horror, all along. A highly biased, immature and agonizing characteristics of portraying Rahu in the worst possible light, astrologically. Yes, to an extent they may be right, out of practical experience. Well, one will have to be contended with their reasoning from a democratic perspective. What is that democratic perspective? Fifth or sixth decimal place of population hold/rule the life of almost the entire society. Ironical but true.

Astrology is a divine science but the divine ingredient has perhaps hit extremely low levels already only because of erroneous interpretation by Astrologers. Thus, it is possible that many a comment made by our age old sages, ascetics and people who were diligently following spiritual discipline has not been taken in proper spirit or misinterpreted. We cannot or should not take them wrong but we have to apply mind taking a holistic view of the subject collating a number of aspects of a birth chart in its ultimate entirety.

We can have a 360 degree view of all about Rahu through spiritual realms instead of falling back only on Astrology for the simple reason anything on this planet earth has its roots in Brahmanda. For that matter, be it science, technology, medicine, name anything that human beings are aware is emanating from Brhamanda. Therefore, lord Brahamma is the nucleus of all knowledge and nothing happens in this planet earth without an ingredient of Brhamma. Thus, Brahamma Gnana (knowledge of Brahamma) is universal, however silly a point that is involved.

The architecture of this wonderful human body is beyond our comprehension and we have not explored even a fractional digit percentage of human capability. Of course, the highest level of the fact that the life on earth is a grand illusion or Maya. I do not think that we will have few people to buy this argument at all despite the fact that everything on this planet earth is absolutely temporary while we are looking for permanency no matter what the subject is. The fact that this world is an illusion can only be experienced either after death or when a mystic attains the state of ‘Samadhi’, that is, when he becomes super-conscious.

Rahu, astrologically called the North Node has its mythological origin in Samudra mantana, that is, churning of the ocean as we all know. Cutting short the mythological perspectives and moving on to spiritual perspectives, it has to be noted with keen interest that on the top of a number of Hindu deities we find the snake hoods and the maximum number of hoods is Adi Sesha with 1000 hoods. Verbatim meaning of Aadi Sesha is – Aadi means from the root or from the bottom and Sesha means balance or left over. As per Karma theory, when one is able to finish the Karmas of past so many lives it may be possible to attain the super-conscious state and continue the spiritual journey. You may please recall the para just preceding this wherein I have referred to the human body, the temple of the living God as mentioned in the bible and Hindus have called it the ‘Nar Naryani Deha’. Human body is the Microcosm and the entire universe is Macrocosm which means that the entire universe is projected or reflected in the human body.

Walking a few baby steps further, it is also within our knowledge that there are seven Shakthi Kendras or energy centers or Chakras in the human body. Although the medical professionals may be apprehensive of calling it Chakras, perhaps they do subscribe to medical equivalents of that directly or indirectly. For example, the Agna Charkra is called medically as the pineal gland. Further, starting from the bottom of the body, Pingla nadi representing the solar energy on the right side of the body and Ida nadi representing the lunar energy on the left side of the body first crisscross at the bottom most point of the spinal cord which is called as Sushmna Nadi. The first point of intersection is called the Mooladhara Chakra. Likewise it moves up the spinal cord and finally ends up at the Eye Center or the Agna Chakra and further up it the Sahsrar Chakra, the 1000 petal lotus, the hood of the serpent. Why serpent? The two nadis from the bottom viz., Ida and Pingla twist themselves up at six points on the spinal cord, the Sushamna nadi like two serpents and moves upwards and ends up at Sahasrara chakra, the hood of the serpent. This is Rahu, astrologically, the shadowy planet.

Why Rahu is ever retrograde? The answer is very simple. When human being is born, the spiritual energy or the soul enters from the Sahsrar Chakra as attention current and gets spread all over the body through the same Chakras. When the soul has to go out of the body either at death or during meditation which can be said dying while living, it has to retrace the path back. The typical significance of Rahu’s retrograde motion is that the soul has to go back to its origin or else it has to remain in the giant wheel of birth and death with no guarantee of human life again. Rebirth need not mean reincarnation as human being.

In conclusion, Rahu is a planet signifying the soul’s natural inclination or destination of going back to its origin. Therefore, in delineation of astrological charts the position of Rahu is of utmost importance. When we say soul going back to its origin either voluntarily through meditation or at death, in either case, one meaning a reversible death and the other meaning permanent death, meaning the expiration of the current term of life, may be inflicted by Rahu. Permanent death inflicting characteristics can even be virtue of human beings catching up with terminal diseases. However, it is wrong to infer that Rahu is a deadly planet.

Moving further, it may be noted with extraordinary interest that Rahu depicting Sahasrar Chakra is the fountain head of knowledge, contextually. For worldly matters it may mean research and development, innovation, creativity and host of other mental faculties. Of course, the author is refraining from commenting on the doshas as an aftermath of all planets hemmed in between Rahu and Ketu as it is conventionally called as Kala Sarpa Dosha.

Expect plenty of fireworks from Mars

I hope my post captioned “Abruptness and 5th/ 8th bhava relationship” dated November 25 was an advance Astrological signature for the political developments what we witnessed in India which is rattling the ruling party. Apart from politics, there were a number of fire accidents, plane crash, rain havoc and railway derailments.

Mars moves to Libra on December 24 at 0543 thus leaving the company of Rahu in Virgo. The best point involved in this transit is that Capricorn, the sign of exaltation of Mars will be aspected by itself and Saturn as well. Capricorn being the 10th sign of Zodiac and Saturn its lord aspecting its own sign with the third aspect means heavy concentration of cosmic energy. Mercury moves to Capricorn on December 26 followed by Venus joining Saturn in Scorpio on December 30. Further, January 15, 2016, Sun moves to Capricorn. Astrologically interesting date. Saturn moving to the asterism of Mercury on December 28 will be another point of escalation of political war.

We have five planets viz., Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Saturn in Cancer in the Indian Independence Chart and all these planets will be under the sway of the combined excitement of Saturn and Mercury triggered by Mars from Libra while the Ascendant receives the 8th aspect of Mars. Thus every Navamsa movement of Venus from Scorpio we can await critical developments in the political horizon and many will amount to putting the calendar back to 2014. Jupiter in Leo and in its 9th amsa corresponding to its own sign (9th) getting retrograde on January 4, 2016 will only support my take on the point above.

For Astrology lovers, I would like to reiterate that it is not the planet name but also the lordship of the number of the Zodiac sign and the special aspect digits that matter while delineating the chart. This is exactly what Nostradamus used in his writings presumably or as I interpret.

Unfortunately, further detailed analysis in the public domain will not be in good interest and thus the Astrological Keyboard has limited characters! Esteemed readers would have go my message right.

What we want is Truth should always win and Democracy should be in letter and spirit.

Abruptness and 5th/ 8th bhava relationship

While delineating any natal chart or even in Prasna Shasthra, harmonious and very tight relationship between the lords of 5th and 8th or the planets posited in these signs by aspects or asterism may lead to sudden and unexpected developments, generally. The events thus emanating from such combination can be good or bad depending upon various points. Further, due consideration has to be invariably given to the natural lordship of the Zodiac signs as well. It is worth stressing in this context that Mars is invariably the trigger.

Following transits in the offing will be highly interesting:

  • Venus enters Libra, its own sign coming out of Virgo, its debilitated sign on Nov 30.
  • Mercury enters Sagittarius on Dec 6.
  • Mars enters Libra on Dec 24.
  • Venus moves to Scorpio to join Saturn on Dec 25.
  • Jupiter turns retrograde on January 8, 2016.

Applying the transits on to Indian Independence Chart, the Lagna lord Venus moving to Libra followed by Mercury moving to Sagittarius on Dec 6 can perhaps begin another major battle between the ruling party and opposed by all other political parties.

Jupiter the lord of 8th and 11th transiting in the 5th sign of the Zodiac viz., Leo and aspected by Saturn in 7th (the 8th sign of the Zodiac) will take head-on Mercury the 2nd and 5th lord for India once it enters Sagittarius (the 8th sign of India) on Dec 6 and received the beneficial aspect of 8th lord well placed in Leo and gets bombarded by Mars the 8th and 12th lord of Zodiac now transiting in the 5th sign of India. Mars, as we know is the lord of 7th (opposition) and 12th lord in Indian Independence Chart. Thus, the strength of Sagittarius i.e., the 8th sign of India will increase all at once. 8th house becomes strong, negatively by adverse bombardment of Mars, the 7th and 12th lord. 8th house is the house of longevity and most often unforeseen difficulties as well. Mars being the first and eighth lord of the Zodiac, it can always start an event or terminate an event that is going on.

Although this is not a comprehensive delineation of Indian Independence chart we can expect the following impact on the outer periphery:

  • The war of words between the ruling and opposition parties will escalate in a big way.
  • There could be steep deterioration of conventions and values.
  • Strong possibility of good polarization amongst opposition parties.
  • Government will face a lot of difficulties and will become further weak.
  • Ruling party may be compelled to re-look at many points and stop their members from talking in the public domain.
  • Jupiter turning retrograde on January 8, 2016 is certainly not good for the Government.
  • Highly unexpected and sudden developments are very likely.

On the whole, since India is now in Moon dasha and Moon being in the star of Saturn perhaps it is time for democracy to be re-defined and it may happen.

Transit effects interpretation

My take on the interpretation of transit effects of planets is quite different as I feel. We normally think of the current position of planets and try to draw inferences. Although it is right, perhaps in my opinion, may be way beyond others point of view, I would like to go one step before and one step after and visualize the impact of planets transit.

The case in point is that of Mars and Venus which just moved into Virgo on November 3. As long it stayed in Leo it was in the company of Jupiter and was under the sway of tenth aspect Saturn from Scorpio. This Astrological ambiance I would interpret as: 10th and 11th lord of the Zodiac posited in 8th sign of the Zodiac aspecting its own 10th sign, aspecting the 2nd sign of the Zodiac (house of Venus) and its 10th aspect on Leo the 5th sign of the Zodiac wherein the lord of 9th and 12th sign Jupiter and Venus the lord of the 2nd and 7th sign and Mars the lord of 1st and 8th sign of the Zodiac is posited. Therefore, any prediction or estimate of probabilities and possibilities should obviously an outcome of the chemistry of effects between the key planets, its lordship of the Zodiac sign and its inherent features and characteristics.

Secondly, it is also extremely relevant as to what was the earlier situation before those planets entered Leo. Situation in the sense that which were the planets influencing them before. Thirdly, when the subject planets moved into the next sign are there any other planets influencing them.

Lastly, when we say a planet is aspecting or is being aspected, it simply means to be that they have been communicating with each other and planning the next move. Thus, the Zodiac is a Digital Telephone Exchange of intercommunication between planets.

Taking a bird’s eye view and a comprehensive overview keeping in my mind the Indian Independence chart in mind, I would like to state that the democracy in India is being re-visited since 2014 general election.

Mars will assist Jupiter and will surely call the shots on democracy in India, soon.

Mars entry into Leo on September 15

Jupiter’s transit to Leo on July 14, 2015 although significant is yet to deliver good results. Though Jupiter was in its exalted sign of Cancer earlier, it was in a Badhaka Rasi from Saturn in Scorpio. Notwithstanding this point, my take is that, Jupiter by virtue of its powerful 5th aspect on Saturn has indeed transferred its cosmic energy which I expect will be effective since Jupiter is already receiving the 10th aspect of Saturn. Why is it that such an impact is not yet perceptible?

The only answer lies in the planetary geometry of the effect of other planets, either cooperation or noncooperation. All the nine planets are players of one team and their ultimate goal is to win, continuously strictly in accordance with the doctrine of Karma.

We are all living in on a planet of total illusion and believe what we see as true, of course, quite naturally. This statement on the face of it is quite damaging and demoralizing as well. But, unfortunately it is the TRUTH. Elaborating this point a bit; when a woman conceives, around the 12th week of pregnancy, the fetal heart gets activated and till then all the development is a mass of flesh including a ‘mini-heart’, an outcome of biological and pathological actions and reactions. With due respect to the medical professionals, can anyone explain how does the fetal heart starts functioning and why? I am sure that no one on earth can ever explain this with the backdrop of science. The only reason is that the soul enters the embryo. What is soul, God etc., are beyond the scope of this post. Likewise, even when a patient is on Ventilator (artificial respiration) and despite all essential inputs required for the survival of a human being is supplied intravenously; still the patient dies at one point. Obviously, this is again what the medical professionals cannot explain. Can we say that these are two big MAGICS of God? Once a baby is born all kinds of LOGIC is strictly in place, right through its life. Thus the life on earth goes on logically with ample reasoning while we have all forgotten that we came here because of a MAGIC and go away because again because of another MAGIC and in between we survive only through logic and reasoning. Truly ironical and, is it not an illusion?

Back on Astrology, Mars being the lord of 1st and 8th sign of the Zodiac is nothing short of a Super Captain of the planetary kingdom although Sun is the supreme authority and without an element of Mars involved no one can lift even a straw!

Mars entered its debilitated Rasi Cancer on July 31 and will move into Leo on September 15 at 2109 hrs IST joining Sun and Jupiter the 9th and 12th lord of the Zodiac. It will be exciting to know the critical consequences of the conjunction of 1st and 8th lord joining the 9th and 12th lord aspected (10th aspect from the 8th sign of the Zodiac) by the 10th and 11th lord and on October 1st Venus the 2nd and 7th lord and Lagna lord of India joins Jupiter and Mars. That means Leo the 4th sign of India will be under excitation of – 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th lords of the Zodiac. The interesting point is that the 8th and 12th points towards ‘retirement’ while Saturn is in the terminal house 8.

Venus, although Venus entered Leo on July 5, it turned retrograde on July 25th and went back to Cancer on August 13. The 10th aspect of Saturn did not impact Venus firstly because it was retrograde and secondly, Mars is not only in the debilitated sign but also in a Badhaka Rasi from Saturn. It is of utmost importance that we have to consider the Badhaka Rasi and planets therein to understand the impact and not give much importance of exalted or debilitated signs of planets. In this context as per the request of one of our esteemed readers, I will draw small tangent. For example, while Jupiter was in its exalted sign Cancer, many natives of Sagittarius Ascendant might have had high hopes on many events of their life for the simple reason that it is their Ascendant lord. Although it is the Ascendant lord and transiting in its exalted sign of Cancer, still it is in the 8th from the Ascendant. Further, invariably we need to take into account its natal position in the birth chart. Just in case, Jupiter in the Ascendant itself may cause a lot of problems specifically from the expenses point of view.

Now a few comments on the Indian Independence Chart:

I am sure the esteemed readers would have observed the gradual weakening of the Central Government on many issues since they came into office in 2014. Starting from Mars ingress into Leo on September 15 night and more interestingly from October 1 when Venus re-enters into Leo after being there quite some time and getting retrograde and going back to Cancer wherein there is a stellium of five planets viz., Sun, Moon, Saturn, Mercury and Venus is not a good omen for the Government. These planets are messengers of God who communicate with each other and exchange information and act. Therefore, I am of the opinion that Venus indeed being retrograde in Leo under the bombardment of Saturn’s 10th aspect and going back to Cancer has communicated vital messages to the said five planets above. It is just waiting to arrive in Leo on October 1 and will unite with Jupiter and Mars and get instructions from Saturn (10th aspect) and call the shots. Further, Mars 4th aspect from Leo on Saturn in Scorpio, the 8th sign of the Zodiac also indicates whether the sought after Astrological signature of 4, 8 and 12 will ensure any action is more to be seen than believed. Adding insult to injury, the 4th aspect of Mars on Saturn and 8th aspect on the 12th sign of the Zodiac with its owner Jupiter in its company even means more. Mars in a fiery sign aspecting Saturn is also not a welcome point and it generally indicates a lot of disturbances and even natural calamities, accidents, fire, explosions angle has to be looked into. God forbid and no one wants these things.

Saturn turned direct today

Saturn turned direct just this morning thus gaining strength to take forward all its intrinsic portfolios. As far as Indian politics is concerned, I hope esteemed readers would probably agree with me that many political events were foretold and some could just touching the outer periphery in terms of time frame and impact.

The bickering in all major political parties is now in the public domain. The Astrological compass pointing towards indications of Dharma prevailing, contextually, is not yet perceptible to our satisfaction. The main reason being until July 14, Jupiter, though exalted was transiting in the Badhaka rasi from Saturn which was also retrograde since March 14. The moment Mars entered Gemini on June 16 we witnessed a lot of political turmoil but still nothing much happened with the seriousness that we were expecting. Jupiter entering Leo on July 14 is indeed an excellent point and Saturn direct today is sure to excite Jupiter with its 10th aspect.

Saturn which turned retrograde on March 14 was then transiting in 4th amsa of Scorpio viz., Libra, the 6th sign of Indian Independence chart and now it is getting direct in Leo, the 2nd amsa of Scorpio. This conveys that all matters regarding 6th, 5th and 4th Bhava of India will surely get revised. Interestingly, the 4th bhava stands for termination (of power?) apart from a host of other points in Astrology. In this context, let us note that we lost an excellent People’s President Dr.Abdul Kalaam when Jupiter was about to move from the badhaka amsa to 2nd amsa. Jupiter stands for elderly, scholarly etc., while in the 2nd amsa until August 15, it is quite likely that senior politicians are under problem, may be health or external threat. The Astrological reason being Jupiter the lord of 8th (and 11th) of India transiting in the 4th house and in amsa transiting in 2nd amsa of 4th sign may not be good.

Mercury enters Leo on August 4 at 1802 hrs IST and this will surely set the ground for further war of words between political parties. Further, Jupiter enters the 3rd amsa of Leo on August 15 at 0222 hrs which will be detrimental to the Government and then every passing hour from then will be a litmus test for it. On August 17 at 1227 hrs, Sun enters its own sign Leo and this means that in Leo there will be four planets viz., Jupiter, retrograde Venus (the Lagna lord of India), Mercury and Sun. Perhaps mega events towards restoration of some moral and ethical values in governance will show its head up.

Transit of Jupiter to Leo

Although Jupiter moved to Leo on July 14, 2015, Leo being a fixed sign (sthira rasi) the first amsa corresponds to Aries which is a badhaka rasi for planet/s in Leo. Thus Jupiter could not do much except it set the ground for the political turbulence that India is in now. Further, the impact of Jupiter got shadowed by Rahu in Navamsa (all with reference to current transit of planets).

In earlier posts I did mention that ever since Saturn entered Scorpio on November 2, 2014, Jupiter was rendered impact less since it was in the badhaka rasi from Scorpio. The transits in the offing are as under;

  • Rahu moves back to amsa of Jupiter viz., Pisces on July 25, 2015 and hence the shadow of it on Jupiter gets removed.
  • Venus now in Leo gets retrograde by 1500 hrs. on July 25, while it is transiting in the 3rd amsa of Leo viz., the third sign of the Zodiac which is Gemini the second house of Indian Independence chart.
  • Mars now transiting in Gemini will move to Cancer, its debilitated sign on July 31, 2015. It will roll over five planets viz., Sun, Moon, Saturn, Mercury and Venus thus exciting all those planets and the relevant houses corresponding to them.
  • July 30, 2015, Jupiter moves to second amsa coming out of badhaka amsa. Thus it will get a chance to discharge its duties.
  • Under the circumstances above mentioned, Venus will get retrograde at 1500 hrs. on July 25, 2015 and is conjoined with Jupiter in Leo.
  • Saturn will get direct on August 2, 2015.

The resultant effect of the critical transits mentioned above is estimated to be like this;

  • The Government is very likely to retrace/retract many steps and strategies.
  • There will be judicial compulsions for the Government to strictly follow the rule of law.
  • There will be escalation in political tensions and the ruling party may face severe setback on many fronts.
  • Many more hidden scandals, frauds and mischievous activities will come to surface.

We have already surpassed the proverbial statement “even in madness there should be a method” and at present we have no choice except to rely upon Jupiter receiving the 10th aspect of Saturn and Saturn itself aspecting the lagna and the 9th house, of course, once it becomes direct on August 2. Venus getting retrograde on July 25 and direct on September 6, 2015 could be very interesting to watch out.
